RESERVATIONS: The cost of one night stay is required as a deposit to hold your reservation. MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express are accepted for deposits and stays. The deposit will be charged to your credit card at the time the reservation is made. All rates are for two people. Vermont State tax of 9% will be added to each stay. RESORT FEE: As a part of the renowned Equinox Resort a $25/day resort fee is added to all rooms. The fee provides guests of the 1811 House access to a variety of amenities and services including, but not limited to: free wireless internet access, use of the business center computers and copy machine, free newspapers, shuttle service into town for shopping and dining and use of the Spa health facilities (pool, sauna, whirlpool, exercise equipment). CANCELLATIONS: A small inn such as ours is dearly affected by cancellations, and while we are sympathetic to emergencies, we appreciate your understanding of our cancellation policy. We will cancel your reservation, and your deposit will be fully refunded, if we are notified 14 days in advance. If you cancel within 14 days (30 days from September 19 - October 25, 2008) of your reservation, you will be charged for the nights specified in your reservation unless we are able to re-rent the room, and we will make very effort to do so. Please note that a late arrival - after the date specified - or an early departure prior to the end of your reservation are handled as cancellations. You will be charged for the nights specified in your reservation, unless changes are made to your reservation prior to 14 days before your arrival. CHECK IN/ CHECK OUT: Check in time is between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Please let us know by calling us at 1-800-432-1811 if you will be arriving after 8 p.m., so we can make late arrival arrangements. In order to prepare for the arrival of new guests, check out is 11 a.m. MINIMUM STAY: We observe a two night minimum stay on weekends and from September 20 - October 20. A three night minimum stay is required on some holiday, special event or foliage weekends. The two or three day minimum stay requirement will be specified at the time of your making a reservation. SMOKING: In compliance with Vermont law, the 1811 House is entirely non-smoking. We thank you for adhering to the no-smoking policy. If you would like to smoke, there are ashtrays in designated areas outside the inn. CHILDREN: Children over the age of 16 are welcome. PETS: While the 1811 House has a resident dog, we are not able to accommodate other pets, and we ask that you make other arrangements for them.
