Searching for the ideal East Coast vacation destination? Look no further. The 1811 House offers the perfect Southern Vermont vacation retreat, with a backdrop of historic Manchester Village. However, for many who seek a romantic country inn, it's the room, its decor and the amenities that really matter.

Each of the 1811 House guest rooms offers a story of its own. The rooms are named for Manchester's illustrious and colorful figures, and each offers guests a glimpse into the sophistication of historic Manchester Village.

Guest rooms are located in the Inn, and at the adjacent cottage. The rooms all feature a private bath, oriental rugs, fine artwork, and authentic American and English antiques. Your guest room includes two comfortable chairs, alarm clock, bath amenities, bottled water, hair dryer, and luxurious bathrobes.

Wireless internet access is available throughout the Inn including all common areas and in each guest room.

While you're at the Inn, we encourage you to relax in the living room and library, both featuring wood burning fireplaces. We hope you'll make yourself comfortable in the public areas.

Inn Rooms

Jeremiah French Suite
Located on the first floor, this spacious two-room suite with a wood burning fireplace offers a king size canopy bed. The bathroom features a heated floor and a deluxe tiled shower. Relax in the adjoining sitting room, where you can curl up on the love seat snuggled under a cozy throw. The love seat pulls out into a single bed, which makes it possible for three guests to stay in this suite. There is an additional charge of $50 per night for a third person. This room has a LCD flat screen television hidden behind one of the artworks in the sitting room.

Franklin Orvis Suite
Upon entering this spacious two-room suite you will first notice the warm and inviting sitting room with its cozy loveseat and wood-burning fireplace.
The bedroom has a king pencil post bed from which you can enjoy views of the gardens and the Green Mountains beyond. The bathroom has a large tiled shower suitable for two, and a claw foot bathtub. The sitting room love seat pulls out into a single bed, which makes it possible for three guests to stay in this suite. There is an additional charge of $50 per night for a third person. Mary Lincoln Isham
This lovely corner room was a favorite of Mary Lincoln Isham. Taking advantage of its location, the room is filled with natural light and offers views of Mount Equinox and historic Manchester Village. The queen four-poster canopy bed faces the wood-burning fireplace and there is also a flat screen LCD television. The bathroom has beautiful bamboo wood floors, a heated towel bar and a tiled shower with tub.

Robert Todd Lincoln
The queen four-poster canopy bed, Federal-style slate blue mantel, wood burning fireplace and original stencil border all contribute to the enticing nature of this room. The flat screen LCD television is tucked away, but there if you want it. The rich colors and sophisticated decor gives this room an authentic Federal-style feel. The bathroom offers a tub and shower combination.

Henry & Ethel Robinson
A room with a view, this guest room features a large private porch with exceptional views of the Inn's extensive gardens, the golf course, and Vermont's Green Mountains beyond. When not sitting on the porch you will enjoy the king four poster canopy bed and discreetly hidden LCD flat screen television. The bathroom includes a distinctive marble enclosed shower stall with a claw foot tub in the center prompting the inevitable question, "How did they get it in there?"
